This is a scary thing we see happening in our society lately.... If someone stalks and 'jumps' someone to rob them, many people think that the victim should just take the beating - or at least wait until one punch before death before defending themselves.

It's a sad, sick world we live in where these vicious young thugs are 'defended' in a way where the victim was expected to just take their assaults.

I'm don't think it's paranoia. It's just being prepared/aware. There's a hundred different things you do every day to protect yourself...seat belt, meds/vitamins, check ups, hand washing/hygiene, exercise, looking before you cross the street, making sure the stove isn't hot, lock your doors, bike helmet, proper food prep/storage, etc, etc. You're willing to accept these things as normal when some of them would have been crazy not that long ago. So are you paranoid or prepared/protecting yourself?
