Another heat post...yeah I know... I should know better

Hey guys,

I'm struggling with some BF2 Crash to disk issues. It's one of those things that's so hard to track down that I usually just forget it and play another game...

well here I am back again. I'm wondering if I might have a slight heat issue.

I'm running an eVGA 7800GTX in an Antec P180 case...with lots of fans. I have an opteron and 2GB of memory.

currently...pretty idle...

My display shows 59C (diode) and 52C (sensor) this is from everest.
The CPU shows 37, 38, 40 and the motherboard 39C
GPU ambient is 44C

My guess is that when I run games I'm pushing 60-70C on the GPU...and the proc is up in the 60C range.

is this too hot?

your temps are fine although your processor is a little warm in load

is your 7800 factory overclocked? Mine used to crash as well in certain games and I found out (by underclocking) that the instability was caused by this factory overclock and RMA'd it

how would I know if it was overclocked? I didn't buy any extreme version...it's just the 7800GTX from eVGA.
