I just dont get it. (controversial statement coming) I dont think Trump is stupid, but even in defeat he claims victory. I personally think he's trolling, but thats arguable of course. But I dont get it. He just cant accept loss. I feel embarrassed for him.

Trump Boasts of 'Tremendous Win' in Texas Special Election Where His Endorsed Candidate Lost (msn.com) (Newsweek)

Former President Donald Trump on Saturday night claimed he had a "tremendous win" in a recent Texas special election, despite the fact that the candidate he endorsed lost the race.

He’s very seriously mentally ill. As people around him have testified to he’s probably already convinced himself that he had endorsed the actual winner all along.

For real. If memory serves people said he’s even convinced himself that the access Hollywood tape was faked and it wasn’t really him on it.

Per my reading both candidates spoke highly (bigly) of the former President.
Even he knows he can back only one of the two.
In this case there was no losing. Either candidate is a “win” for him.

Otherwise yes your summary is spot on.
Imagine working on a project with a dude who has all of Trumps personality traits and none of his money. Think of how miserable working on that project would be.

Would be nice to have a POTUS with full healthy mental capacity. Havent had one since Obama.

First mistake.
I’ve never gotten the sense that he is stupid in the sense that he’s mentally incapable, he’s just incredibly lazy and severely mentally ill.

Like the reason he says so many stupid things is a combination of being a pathological liar who doesn’t care what’s true and false, and the fact that he has no interest in spending the time necessary to learn anything.

Did y’all just miss the fact we were “post-truth” since 2017? Of course he can say it’s a tremendous win and get away with it, because the only people he cares about are the zealots licking his taint.

He also believes he knows better than anyone about every topic with zero need for any input because he is a genius.

I like hillary clinton, Obama, and Biden. I also have ADHD, so saying no mentally disabled person should vote is segregationist.

What bothers me the most is future politicians taking that lesson to heart, and emulating it.

Intelligence, but twisted into a malformed creature.

we have a lot of blind believers in this nation. I suspect if the GOP forces Americans to pick between them and Donald, they will side with Donald. He could be president again, as an independent.

I didnt like his policies. But he was at least coherent. Unlike our last two POTUS's.

Don't ever change blackangst1, we need idiots like you consuming and regurgitating right wing talking points uncritically. Without you dumb asses keeping the right afloat the economy would probably take a hit.

Trump's picture needs to be right next to this. The Dunning-Kruger effect is a type of cognitive bias in which people believe that they are smarter and more capable than they really are. Essentially, low ability people do not possess the skills needed to recognize their own incompetence...
