They should make it a law that the very first web page anyone new to the internet goes to should read something like this,

"Welcome to the internet.
Never trust anyone from Nigeria.
Enjoy the porn"

Or just make that the default desktop pic for any PC bought through Dell or Walmart.

We should set up a sting operation. Get ATOT together and pool some money for an initial payment to these guys of a few thousand to get them interested, then lure them over here.

Anyone who wants in can wire me whatever they can contribute.

Yea, that's the new scam that's going around.

"Excuse me for your time, but you know that a lot of these scams are going around and I represent people who have been scammed and they would like to get back at these horrible people. Please send money so that we can fight these tricksters."

Wow, I get you'd get a lot of hits on that.

you know more people have to be falling for this since the scammers are still in business. What's it going to take to get the word out?
You can't fix stupid.

You can tell people to watch out for Scam A, but when Scam A.1 comes out, these stupid people won't recognize it.

"Oh, you told me to watch out for a Nigerian prince offering $12.6 million. But this is a Nigerian diplomat, offering $13.2 million! How was I supposed to know that this one was a scam too?"

I don't even know if I can believe this story. There were just too many times these scammers were vulnerable to getting caught... in fact, how is it that they haven't been captured yet if they meet you in person? The only thing I believe is that there are actually people as dumb and gullible as this Rempel guy.
If there are people as dumb as him, there are criminals who are just as stupid.

WTF!

"magic formula to make the currency legal tender?" I feel bad for the guy but with that kind of stupidity somebody is going to take your money somewhere, someday.

Seriously. His family doesn't realize what an idiot he is?

It's difficult to blame just this guy when he's able to convince that uncle and his parents to fork over so much cash. That's not the kind of money most intelligent people would give away.

These Nigerians must think Americans are the stupidest people alive.
His family is probably where he inherited his winning intelligence from.

Man loses £130,000 in online scam

A 32-year-old man has lost more than £130,000 in an internet scam involving Nigerian fraudsters.
The money cannot be recovered due to the current political situation in Nigeria.
Awesome. Soon Nigeria is going to have problems with immigration due to the lucrative business opportunities present there. They're just miners. They've found vast caches of stupidity in the US, Europe, and Canada, and exploiting the resource is currently not prosecutable.
