They say reading glasses are set for 14 inches.

Computer glasses are set for two feet.

Neither distance nor reading seem to work great for the computer, so I guess that third pair is justified.

I've ruled out those yellow glasses, because computer gaming likes colors.

They make split glasses computer/reading, but it sounds like they'd cut off the bottom of the monitor, so that's bad.

So, looking at pair for reading and pair for computer.

Where to get them? Costco? Sears? Internet site (no pun intended)? Somewhere else?

Talk to your optometrist about getting a prescription for the computer.

Already have one.

On the previous link 0 thanks - I checked a site they mentioned for inexspensive eyeglasses, and they'rre made of plastic, they couldn't supply any other info on the quality.

I avoid shopping at Wal-Mart so not looking there.

Wal-Mart optometrists and vision centers are not associated with Wal-Mart itself.

They just lease space for their product/services.

Frames and addons to the lenses are where places make their $$

do you have vision insurance? where did you get your distance glasses? any reason why you aren't going there for your computer glasses?

Not sure why you're opposed to plastic lenses vs. the alternative? Most people don't want glass for a variety of reasons. #1: it's dangerous in case your face is struck by something that would break the glass. #2: they're heavier. I'm not positive, but I think the polycarbonate lenses are probably the most popular prescription lenses.
