no im not saying that at all. if that was my kid id be afraid to let her walk off to school if iv seen her seziure and hit her head on something. i feel sorry for the kid and just want her to get an education the best way possible.

The dog allows her to be somewhat normal in that way. She can be on her own at school and her parents can maybe worry a little less about her well-being because the dog can help her during her episodes.

ahh i see

i wish people around here wasnt on everybodys ass all the time tho... the slightist slip up of words and people make you out to be the devil. especially with putting words in other peoples mouths like the "asthma" post above.

This reminds me of a story that I read a long time ago.

A kid had a condition in which sunlight kills him. The only school that was willing to accommodate him was one that was 40 miles way. The district the boy actually lived in refused to accommodate him. So I don't know how well this ADA will protect this girl.

Not to be a wimpy parent at you or anything, but the only Weimeranners I've seen were vicious, like Chows. I'd be a mite nervous about sending my kid into a classroom with one.

That said, the girl deserves every advantage to help offset the severe disadvantage that her epilepsy gives her.

Tough one. I suspect that when all the lawyers cash in on this case, the school will be a place with a lot less money, a lot more oversight, and a Weimeraner.

yeah that is pretty neat...didn't know dogs could do that. I can sense my own incidents (doc said many can't) so I guess I'm lucky (in a way, lol)

How does the dog do it? Can they sense her brain waves or something? B/c like moments before you get a seizure, your neuron activity goes haywire...that much I'm aware of...are there other signs that the dog can pick up on...or is it just like...psychic-dog, lol.
