Another example of dumb software messages?

Ok so I use gmail for all my mail and have no real interest in accessing my mail any other way. But while addressing another issue I thought I'd see just for fun if it was possible to access web mail from windows mail. Didn't think it was possible but thought I'd see. So I go to add an account and what do you know under account types HTTP is listed as a type. I select it only to be greeted with this screen:

Okaayyyy that's all fine and good but why bother putting it there as an option in the first place then?!?

I'm guessing this is still there for backwards compatibility or something but still...

Yeah lol that is the kind of thing you'd see in a beta. Though actually in a beta you'd probably see "windows will soon support...". This is reverse beta "windows used to support...". How long ago did Vista leave beta again?

Actually I really like Vista for most everything else.

*Adobe Reader after hanging in IE. Has Adobe ever made program that didn't fuuk up the OS it is running on.

What's the one when windows is booting and doesn't detect a keyboard?

Something like; Window has not detected a keyboard. Press any key to continue.

Was installing a game awhile back and got an odd message.

The title bar said Catastrophic Failure and the message was Operation Completed Successfully.

My only option was OK.

*shrugs*

I agree it shouldn't be there but I guess allot of people would scream if it was omitted, before realising it's no longer supported.
