Another Enough Juice Question...

12GB DDR3 GHz (I've yet to determine the brand/speed... but I know I need to hit 4.0GHz)

I have a Seasonic X-750W PSU... is that enough to power this bad boy?

How many case fans and USB devices? Off hand, I have the same PSU and it is more than enough for my needs. I would say you are OK.

Funny, when I came back to check up on some answers, I went straight the PSU section! I have approximately 4 USB devices.. 1x WD 250GB passport power over USB, 1x 1TB Seagate external (requires ext power), 1 card reader, 1 keyboard, 1 mouse, all on USB. Every now and then, I'd like to put a 1394 ext HDD and also a game controller (the wireless Microsoft XBox360 controller) and a camera too... So I do have a lot of USB devices...


and I believe 2 case fans... (I have a silverstone TJ10-BW stock case... so I know there's 1x120 in the back for exhaust, and maybe 1x120 in the front for HDD's?)

I think that would be stretching it a bit. It would work...but you would be bumping your head for sure

According to this, an SLI'd GTX 480 PC can pull 850+ watts running Furmark. Plus an i7 920 overclocked to 4 ghz is going to require a decent amount more juice than a stock CPU.

850W AC, not DC...but still X-750 is not really enough for GTX 480 SLI

Yeah, you want to look in the 900W-1kW range if you're going to SLI 480's. The x750 is a great PSU and will be good for a single 480.
