Another Ebay question

So my item was originally bought from some scammer from Africa, so I had to do the second chance offer and now it's sold. Everythings fine now, but how do I get back my final value fee, which was 12.00 btw from original auction since it was bought by the scammer. Do I report unpaid item or what?

Edit: see this thread for the background http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview...atid=38&threadid=1916533&enterthread=y

Oh, and the item I sold was a Dell notebook.

If you sold it second chance thruogh ebay you don't get your final value fee back. Well, maybe you can get the difference between the 1st place bid vs 2nd place bid Final value fee (which probalby would be pretty small if any).

Basically, by selling 2nd chance, you had a successful auction so ebay won't refund any fees of any kind.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

that is wrong, this happened to me when i sold a for parts laptop, first auction was won by a nigerian and the second by an indonesian when i clearly stated no out of country buyers. ebay forgave the final value fee's and just charged mme the final value on the second chance sale i made
