Another day another beating by cops

Sheriff's Statement

"I can certainly understand the concerns in the community based on what they saw on the video," McMahon said. "I'm disturbed by what I see in the video. But I don't need to jump to conclusions at this point, until we do a complete and thorough investigation. If our deputy sheriff's did something wrong, they'll be put off work and they'll be dealt with appropriately, all in accordance with the law as well as our department policy."

Hilarious.

Is there ever a valid reason why an offer would be permitted to kick a suspect? Every officer in that video that threw either a punch or a kick at that suspect should be fired and charged with felony assault.

I can see it if the guy is fighting or resisting. A kick to the ribs will get someone to comply pretty quick and not do any serious damage. I'm ok with that if the guy is fighting or resisting.

This guy proned out, put his hands behind his back when he was told to, then got a boot party. I'm not ok with that.

That may be the most prolific police beating since Rodney King. You had like what, a dozen cops beating the guy, sitting down to take breaks, then getting up and beating him some more. Amazing.

And beating him with a taser, how do you defend that?

I'm glad the news story told us about the 2 cops who had to be treated afterwards for dehydration. Beating a man takes a lot out of a man apparently.

Cops go straight to kicking the man in the head, and another kicks him square in his nuts. all while on the ground spread-eagled, obviously no threat and not resisting. Just another cop beat-down because they wanted to.

So any bets that any of the cops actually get convicted of anything?

So that is what? 6 more bad apples? You think the good cops at some point might want to speak up and crack down on this.

there are no good cops.

just deluded people.

At what point does the systemic problem get addressed in a meaningful manner? If it's already technically against the law to do this, and a law is not enough... what does the public do next, what action do we call for?

Resistance is the next step.

Far too many are too full of fear to do anything though. They are afraid of the big bad policeman.

You first.

I'm game. The only problem is that I don't live in a communist state where police are allowed to do things like this.

I'm ready, willing and able.

Some Cali reference material:

Cops fire 100 rounds at 2 people in a vehicle who had committed no crime and were no danger to the cops. That sounds like 100 counts of attempted murder to me but instead the cops got a stern talking to.

Holy crap, looks like a bunch of rabid dogs rage beating the helpless man. He obviously gave up immediately. White guys aren't even safe now.

I am sure the Sheriff is taking it "very seriously". And if any deputy is found to have used exessive force they will be put on DOUBLE SECERT PROBATION!

And have to attend mandatory retraining. Where they will be taught to check for cameras before engaging in this type of behavior.

I mean damn "Comply or Die" is one thing but "Comply and Die" may be seen as exessive by some people.
