Actually, you can vote as fast as you can open and close the browser. I set it up as the home page on one of my machines, and knocked out a hundred or so votes this morning.

Hey cool, I can make a script that will constantly vote for tweakers.net and get them removed !

Seriously, how do you dare to put up a site and pretend it reflects people's opinions if one can so easily mess up the results ? How can you ban 60.000 forum users and review readers because one cheats ?

Security on the internet is enforced by technology, not by &quot;If you misbehave, you'll be punished&quot; useless threats.

/edit : oh btw, make a search on the words &quot;cookie&quot; and &quot;mail based polls&quot;

Thus far, there is no indication whatsoever that any member of this forum has acted outside the parameters established by YOUR OWN SYSTEM. It is completely unnecessary for you to register here to, with what appears to be as your only purpose, threaten our members.

We would suggest that if you are unhappy with the level of participation achieved by the enthusiastic support of AnandTech, you might consider fixing the poll so that one actually cannot vote more then once per day.

Who's to say that this TechlinksMod isn't just someone from one of the other sites in contention just trying to scare us off?

TechLinkMod gave no way to reply to him, no profile, no real id, no way to trace or prove that they are who they say they are.

Oh, and another thing. There is absolutely NOTHING on the vote site about any problems, rules haven't changed, etc.. You would think that they would post a notice to all voters about the problems.

Something stinks....

Still no mention or warnings on their site though. Not that I would cheat, or even encourage it. It is a great way for them to get a LOT of traffic.
