Another Comcast Rant

Today I called Comcast about upgading to Digital Cable TV service. I wanted to get a lower rate by providing my own Digital Cable Box, similar to my own modem that I use on their Cable Internet Service. They said that I have to rent their box, that any other box is illegal. A number of boxes are avail at eGay, including Comcast Digital Cable Boxes for this area. I told them I did not understand why I could not use my own box, and provide them with the ESN. The customer service person would only say that it was illegal. What a crock.

Yeah comcast is so horrible, their service sucks and they never send my bill so I always have to call and get the amount otherwise they try to pull that late charge $40 to reconnect junk.

Comcast is way to big If I could get fast internet without comcast I would. Once they double charged my credit card and it took 3 weeks of me bringing them proof before the credited my account. They suck!!!!:disgust:

Heh... you can get those boxes... and it still won't work. I got two of them and none of them worked... i got the runaround on them too when i tried to register them... so bleh.
