another college question

buy a laptop or keep my desktop?

college has wifi across the entire campus (and soon to be entire city, go philly!)
only bad part is that a laptop will sacrifice performance, as well as expandability

what do you all think i should go with?

I voted desktop just cause I like having a desktop to do easy updgrades with, as well as I would think gaming is better on a desktop. Since I play a lot of games, it's important to me. Depends on what you use your computer for I guess.

If you have the space, get a desktop (try to score a deal from Dell Outlets) and save the rest of the money for beer and food.

I don't have a laptop and have never had the desire to have one here at college. There are enough computers around campus that if I need to check my e-mail somewhere or something, I can just go into a building and do it.

If your desktop is relatively new keep it. If you are upgrading either way get a laptop. You can still game ok on them, and being able to take it with you is far more important than higher fps in games.

sempron 2300+, radeon 9800 NP 128mb, seagate 80gig 8mb buffer 7200 rpm hdd, cd/dvd rw (dvd +- too), thats about anything worthwhile

Keep the desktop, any decent college has LOADS of computer labs anyway.

Laptops are good for road trips, though.

How about both?

I had desktop that I upgraded throughout college and a so-so laptop that I used for just about everything. I used to game a lot but I pretty much grew away from it during junior year.

No women?😕

Hookers?

Usually the "beer and food" expense category encompasses money for bars and restaurants for dates.
