Another Chipotle sucks thread

I don't think it sucks at all. It's not the greatest Mexican food I've ever had, but it's honest, reasonably healthful Mexican food that is frankly better than what's available in local places in most of the world, including much of the United States.

Their burritos are 1,000+ calories, full of sodium and fat.

LOL they give you a peter north style load of crema all over your food. I can most assure you that shit is not healthy.

A standard burrito bowl with asada is 900 calories, 45g fat, 2g's sodium. WITHOUT CHIPS.

Why are calories automatically bad? That just means you're getting more food energy for your money. Split it into 2 meals and be happy that you can get two meals of scratch-made food for $3.50 each.

And the fat is only bad if you think saturated fat in moderation is bad for you, which it isn't.

The sodium, sure.
 
I heard all the rave about "Chipotle!" for a couple of years, so when one opened near us, I had to try it.
I was sorely disappointed. It's "Mexican food" only because they wrap the contents in a burrito. Bland, flavorless, and one of the worst fast-food-type meals I've had in decades.

I never went back.
Unfortunately, Qdoba seems to have followed the same business model, offering about the same bland, tasteless "imitation Mexican food" as Chipotle.

If you get lots of pussy and dont need the hairy stuff, why do you go out of your way to complain?

i was not aware that you had to get crema on your stuff at chipotle no matter what. i must have missed it the past decade of eating there. man i learn new things every day on atot, thanks for making threads about things you all hate!
 
They also have things like salads, which you can choose to eat without rice or other toppings, saving 300-500 calories over that burrito (several hundred for the tortilla alone).
 
I've only been there a couple times, but I liked it well enough. I preferred BajaFresh, but they seem to have left my immediate area.
 
Chipotle is awesome....steak, salad, rice and green tomatillo is only 540 calories and 21 grams of fat. A bit high on sodium but whatever. Now if you slobber all that cheese and sour cream and guac of course it turn into something bad for you.....

I wasn't even aware Chipotle sold expresso and had crema! I have been missing out!
 
I heard they literally cut the meat with the feces of stray dogs, and the salsa is made from aborted horse fetus. Taco Bell that has been left inside a state fair porta-potty for a week tastes better.

Also white people eat there and like it. You should see them standing in line being all white and stuff. Ugh.
 
I never understood the reasoning behind complaining about FF. It is what it is. If you try to romanticize it and then the hype is met with reality, boom goes a thread into ATOT.
