Keep up Spanky, we already established in post five that I thought this whole thing is funny.
The only thing "we" established is that you are one of those morons who constantly posts threads about inconsequential issues.

FYI, if you had any clue on nutrition and diet then you would realize that you're an idiot.

Just about any nutritionist will tell you that you need to allow yourself to eat what you want some of the time (usually 90% should be a good diet with 10% being not as good nutritionally). Also, that is meant as a guideline that is over simplified for the complexities of nutrition and proper diet.

Oh, and depending on what you're doing your diet can change. Dean Karnazes has run 300 miles on his own in a single run and ate a large pizza and dessert doing it. Is pizza a good nutritional meal? Not so much. If an average person ate a large pizza in one meal with dessert they would see negative effects from it. Somebody who burned ~25,000+ calories over 3 days won't. This relates to Obama as he does exercise AND is very active every day (most likely burning 2500+ calories/day min before exercise). While it might not have been the "healthiest" option, nor fit into the new plate bs (which is bs, there is a thread in H&F about it), it's pretty stupid to attempt to vilify him over it.

So in short, grow the F up.

Liberals need to make up their minds. They tell us we shouldn't tell people what to do with their bodies but then do things like banning trans fats, happy meals, and sugary drinks at schools. Then they say we should legalize drugs. They use the argument that overweight people cost the healthcare system too much but the cost of drug use wouldn't increase those costs? They suggest welfare people shouldn't be tested for drugs, but then say fat people should pay more for healthcare?

Damnit! Get your talking points straight!

OMG! The truth is revealed. Only those without sin should give advice on how to lead a healthier lifestyle. Anyone who has ever eaten a hot dog is disqualified from giving dietary advice. Only those who never had sex out of wedlock should lead absitinence-only programs. And any person who does anything unhealthy but advocates that others lead healthier lifestyles should be disqualified from any position of leadership. Even though the advice they give is GOOD advice, it's an outrage that such advice is given.

Is this your advice when somebody brings up a Republican promoting 'Family Values' but gets caught up in a sex scandel?

Just checking for continuity.

On a more serious note I was Philadelphia yesterday. Went to both Geno's and Pat's for philly cheeseteaks to compare and see which was best. Hard to say. Pat's had a wee bit more steak on it I thought, but then Geno's steak and onions seemed a bit better to me. One thing's for sure, choose the cheese wiz over 'real' cheese like provolone etc, it's much tastier.

You're absolutely right. Those god damn liberals are trying to remove indigestible trans fat from our food. It's bullshit. If you don't like having a bunch of toxic shit in your food, it's up to you to make your own food. The liberals should at least be consistent and make some law stating that companies can't put soon-to-be-legalized drugs in our food.

So instead of bringing both in the same direction of legalization, we should make federal laws so people spend 5 years in jail for being obese. I completely support this.

So now you're suggesting we do drug tests on welfare people every 3 days to confirm whether or not someone is doing cocaine? I don't know what that would cost but I'm sure doing 100 blood tests would be cheaper than just giving them the $10,000 welfare. I trust republicans on this issue because republicans are known to be good with numbers.

Is sugar toxic? What about happy meals? Its interesting you ignored those 2 liberal assaults on 'choice'.

I might agree with you, as long as you only lock up the obese people who aren't paying for their own healthcare and food. Which is probably a lot of those people who are also on welfare and taking drugs.

So now you're suggesting we do drug tests on welfare people every 3 days to confirm whether or not someone is doing cocaine? Nobody suggested test them every 3 days or test every person. Its called random testings. Once people get the hint from their neighbor who was busted and lost their benefits they may change their minds.

But basically you are saying we should pay people to be worthless pieces of shit because it will cost us more to hold them to a higher standard? So we should probably legalize any theft under ~$100,000 because it will cost at least that much to prosecute and jail someone for any significant amount of time.

It is interesting that the left's view of the poor is that if faced with consequences for their actions they will all turn into criminals and animals.

Obama must really be squeaky clean if a big complaint against him is that he eats chili dogs ... can't dig up more dirt than that? Yikes.

Probably because it's true. Welfare people are usually on welfare for a reason. They have no skills, they're unemployable, and we just hand them money in hopes that they stay in line. If you take away the cash that lets them sit around and smoke meth all day, they'll start stabbing people for that money because no right minded person wants to hire them.

That's the way of the world.

Are you comparing Obama eating a chili dog, the type of thing that food recommendations do not prohibit but recommend to be eaten sparingly, is similar to a family values person acting in direct opposition to their family values? This is going to require a LOT of explanation.

Also, anyone who gets anything but cheese whiz on a cheese steak needs to have their eating license revoked.

When eaten in excess it sure doesn't seem very healthy

Either is getting depressed and being unable to get a full-time job and support your family. Just sayin'. Want to continue down this road or shall we not make it personal like I've asked you in the past?

The picture that Red Dawn likes to post of me is from a bar after a Tampa Bay Ray's game that I went to meet up with some fellow AT/TFNN members. They took a picture of me with a cell phone. No big deal, it was a good time so I gave KGB (The person taking the picture if I remember correctly) the finger because he was a flaming commie liberal hippie freak (But still a nice guy!).

Red and I have a history of ribbing each other. Usually its in good fun. Red at some point saw the picture posted on TFNN and decided to post it here. Didn't have an issue with that, that's fair. At some point in the past year or so though it seems like he has changed from his usual 'sarcastic jackass' self to just 'bitter old man'. I'm not sure what has triggered it but any quick search of his posts can see the change from somewhat witty and funny things to just vindictive personal insults.

So now Red has decided to post the picture in damn near every thread I interact with him with - A few times is funny. ALL the time is just some sort of mental obsession. I've PM'd Red Dawn in the past asking him to try to keep it civil, because I certainly have dirt on him that I could post if I wanted to just be a cruel person. I've tried to keep my interactions with him away from just hateful personal attacks. He seems to be unwilling or unable to do so.

So, if he wants to make it personal we can make it personal. If someone is going to call me out for being overweight repeatedly as an insult toward me then I'll point out his issues as well. So while I clearly enjoy a good meal I have to point out that at least I am confident and secure with myself, I work hard for everything I have, I support my family, and I have the integrity to back my friends, family, and those who have supported me and I won't let them down because of selfish personal reasons.

I hope we can end this here, because I prefer to troll The Obamamessiah Regime and not the personal lives of forum members -we all have flaws. Unfortunately I think some here lack the ability to separate politics from people. I can be friends with anyone from communists to teabaggers as long as they treat me with respect.

You;re not going to make America any safer by telling them not to eat hot dogs, double cheeseburgers, cheesesteaks, fried chicken, fried steak, fried pork you'll make them healthier by telling them when and how often they can eat that food.

I don't think the Obamas have ever said "Never eat fast food." The message I've seen is always "limit" your consumption of fast food. Or "eat less" fast food and "eat more" foods lower in fat and higher in fiber.

If people were trying to argue against what Obama's actual food recommendations are, this thread would never have existed to begin with.

I wish there were a rule that anyone commenting in a food thread would have to post a picture of themselves. I think it would provide a lot of clarity to these discussions.

The obvious flaw in your absurd analogy is that it's a simple matter of will to eat healthier. Beating clinical depression can be a lifetime struggle, requiring medication and years of therapy, with no assurance of success. Finding a good job in a lousy economy is also not just a matter of making simple choices.

But in your mind, using the bully pulpit to advocate healthier lifestyle choices is a bad thing.

In a country like the U.S. where most seem obsessed day and night about their physical appearance, or who are at the very least very self-conscious about their appearance, that a message of healthy diets and lower food consumption is good. If only someone would start a healthy, cheap fast food chain. Change the definition of fast food a little and make it so that your competition simply can't competitively afford not to offer a significant menu of health food. It may take a private effort like the one we saw from Morgan Spurlock in Super Size Me, which I believe single handedly pushed McD's to introduce a significant collection of healthier food options. At least they have grilled chicken, salads, apples, and non-carbonated drinks. But they still need a bigger menu of health food. They could easily start this cultural shift if they weren't hung up on profits (which, of course, is exactly how they should be, and why gov't needs to step in to fill the void in situations like this).

One can have a healthy diet but still eat a chilli dog from time to time. One cannot promote family values then commit adultery, even once. This is an anology fail, but I think you may have realized that even before you hit the submit key.

As a side note, if *Clinton* had promoted the healthy diet, then I'd agree that it's hypocrisy.
