What the hell do I know? I worked at Boeing for 3 yrs in Everett before I moved on to greener pasture, have you? You are the one who needs to STFU.
First they had a morally corrupt CEO Condit and a convicted felon CFO Sears, now the new CEO Stonecipher got himself in trouble with an improper relationship. If that's not great leadership, then I don't know what is!

I do not support Bush or his management of this war...I believe there were justifications for taking out Saddam, but not the ones this Administration provided...I never bought into the WMD argument, nor did I see a link between Iraq and the WOT...however, I am also not so foolish as to pass judgment on a situation that continues to evolve, and the success or failure of which has yet to be determined.

They probably used it as an excuse. Needed a reason to fire him. If Boeing was still the dominating aircraft maker it was a few years ago, this wouldn't have happened.

Can't find the link, but the board has probably been looking for an excuse since Boeing lost that 7 billion dollar contract to Airbus for some German airline (not lufthansa).
Stonecipher said they reorganized the sales department after they lost the sale. So, the CEO was not aware of how negotiations were going (that lasted months) for a 7 billion dollar deal???

Stonecipher will get the normal retirement package to which he would have been entitled with no additional payments to encourage his resignation, Platt said. But he did not detail the amount of severance or separation pay he will receive.
Boeing's most recent proxy statement showed that Stonecipher had a base pay of $1.5 million as CEO, and annual incentives equal to up to 120 percent of base pay, or an additional $1.8 million.
On top of that he had already started to draw $631,000 a year in pension payments during his first retirement from the company, pension payments he continued to receive even as he was being paid to be CEO. That annual pension payment will increase slightly due to his additional year of service to the company.
The Boeing biography of Stonecipher said that he is married, with two children and two grandchildren
So with the 'Big Three' Stonecipher, Condit, and Sears (the ones that made the McDonnell Douglas takeover by Boeing happen), all gone - who's thinking about all the hundreds, even thousands, of people from both companies that were displaced, or just plain dumped - so this coalition of the swindling could reap/rape the McBoeing Company for their own personal gains?
Those hard working people that were so proud to have made the companies the Giants of the Aerospace Insudtry, must be pretty happy with the dregs that the company has become after their sweat equity, and watching these crooks take more money per year for themselves that they earned in 20 - 30 years of real work.

I see nothing wrong with having a personal relationship with someone at my workplace. I've known great marriages that resulted from this. Unless there is something wrong, like she assisted him in cooking books, laundering money, stealing, etc., etc., etc. what is the problem here? As long as both do their job and do it effectively and not let the relationship interfere with their job then so what?
Boeing is a good company and I feel the news on this is making it out to be much more than it really is. Must have been another slow news day. Instead of seeking something positive in the news, you trump on someone's personal sexual affair.
