Another ATOT member is born

At 12:06pm today, PST, our daughter Maryn Jade Chiu Yook-Lin Cameron was born, at a solid 8lbs 6.5oz, almost a full pound than her older sister, Molly was when she was born last year in June.

Only pics thus far

Looks a lot like her sister, except the hair is much darker and a lot straighter, and she actually has it. Molly had next to no hair, and it was much lighter colored until she got older and it filled in dark brown. So far she's very well behaved, doesn't cry a lot, just sits there looking around at people and munching on her hands.

Yep, the "official" name is Maryn Jade Cameron, although her full legal is the whole thing. The middle part is my wife's surname Chiu, and then my daughter's Chinese name Yook-Lin. Since I got to name the first one, Molly, my wife picked this name. Both first names were picked for the dorkiest reasons too:

Molly was picked because I'm a big, curly haired Scottish guy, and I have a hot Asian wife. I thought it was very similar to Miles O'Brien, even though he's not Scottish and his wife isn't Chinese, I thought it'd be sweet to name our daughter Molly anyways.


Maryn was picked because it was the name of a character in a Flash animation my wife loves, of this girl Maryn who's father is a demon and she fights a little rabbit, and goes completely insane with power and sets everything on fire. Apparantly my wife feels that Maryn's temper matches hers (which it kind of does, although I haven't been set on fire yet), so wanted to use the name Maryn if our second child was a daughter.

I thank God it wasn't a boy, because we would've named him Peter Parker Cameron. No kidding, we have it written down.

She's too busy sleeping and pooping to do that currently, although she's doing very well so far. My 16 month old might try to register soon though, she likes typing random crap on the computer, so she'd fit right in here?
