3DMark05 score is 3288. 3DMark03 score is 8219. Seems a bit low but just wondering if this is about right so I know if I need to tweak settings. (System in my sig)

yes that is a bit low. My score is 4450 with nforce 2 and xp 2600+, 6800GT, gig of ram. All stock clocks. Better check you MB drivers.

DaveBC, you've got a 6800GT and he's got a 6600GT. SpedeRacer, I get 3840 from my 6600GT on my 3500+ system with a modest overclock, so I'd jack around with the settings a little bit.

Why dont you stop "playing" 3dMark and start playing a real game, then you figure out if you like it or not.

Your score is fine. It is not low especially since DaveBC is compoaring a 6800GT to a 6600GT.

I get where you're coming from but the only game I have right now is Counter-Strike and it runs alright but I plan to get source and D3 when I can afford it. Oh and another thing...does anyone know how to increase fps in CS (I tried fps_max xx but it will not go above 60 fps. I dunno what vert sync is but I have a CRT so I dunno if that affects it). I am also pretty sure it's not my hardware limiting to 60 fps.

vsync syncs your fps with your refresh rate. go to the counter-strike source settings, and disable vsync. then go to the nvidia control panel and disable it from there.

Hmm, system specs in .sig.

I'm pulling 3600 with a BFG 6800OC, with 16x1,6 unlocked. I get some noticable artifacts, after the unlock, during the benchmark. But I've only noticed once where I had anything 'odd' happening with the rendering in a game.

On a sidenote: Last night, I overclocked my 3200+ from 2.0 to 2.4 and didn't see an increase in my 3dMark05 scores. Shouldn't I have gotten 100-200 points higher after a 20% overclock? Or does the processor speed not help on 3dMark05 at all?

3mark05 is video card dependant, although I would expect at least a teeny increase after a 20% overclock. Did you notice an increase in 3dmark01 or 03 after the overclock?

oops, my bad. Guess I'd better read a little closer. Those scores are adequate for a 6600GT.
