yep, ive finally found a C chip that i like 😎
(IE ~ works well with my ram)

not quite as good as yours tho :Q
what vcore you running for that speed? (3673mhz)

🙂

3575mhz / 255fsb completed 5 hours of prime95 on 1.55v 😀 😀 😀
256fsb failed after 3 hours 🙁

gonna try 1.6v tomorrow....

Vcore set in BIOS to 1.60v which reads 1.568-1.584v idle and 1.488-1.504v under load to get 3673Mhz. I was cooling with a SLK900U / Panaflo 92mm and getting 46-48C load. The SP94 with the same fan and AS5 dropped the temps readings to 42-44C under load. I can get up to 255fsb using 1.5375v in BIOS which reads 1.424-1.456v under load in WinXP using CPU_Z and Probe for voltage readings. The 255fsb setting is where I have been running lately since it drops my temps another 2C and can't really tell any difference with 100Mhz drop. 😉

yep, i agree.
even alot of us "hardcore" OCers are backing down our OCs ~ cause that last 100mhz just really isnt worth the extra trouble in the overall scheme of things.

i myself plan on running this chip on default voltage @ 252fsb.

🙂

yAWn......
2 more hours to go.

warning!
Discovery Channel spoiler

saltwater croc VS great white shark:
shark won, but was seriously injured. would survive tho.

:Q

BTW: i dont know what you guys consider hot, but i am sweating from the heat coming out of my case! :Q

my room temp has gone up 2*C from my puter.

LOL - Maybe we should use some ducking to vent all our PC's to the outside.

not a bad idea 😉

i cant even imagine what this thing would pump out while gaming :Q
my lil ol 5900 is OCed to 500x980 and gets hotter then the cpu.

would make for a great coffee warmer tho 😉
-place mug on blowhole fan grille, stays hot for hours 😀

there was some guy that lived in canada or something
and he vented his comp to the outside
he said it helped his overclock quite a bit hehe
but of course it was snowing outside his house

I just bought a cheapo 8000btu window AC unit for my computer room... Works quite nice since I can set the temp independently of the rest of the house and my PC's temps don't fluctuate as much.

I wounder how much of an affect it would have if I ducted the cold air from the AC to the intake for the radiator?

BTW I know these get hot but every Athlon XP chip I had ran as hot if not hotter than this one.

gonna try for 260fsb next.....

Nice! Is that vcore actual under full load or bios setting?

Hmm, I'm guessing it would help, but that means every time your 'puter is under full load, you'd need the a/c running.

Just be careful of condesation forming on your electronics.

bios setting of 1.625v~
shows as 1.6v idle in cpuz~
under full load it fluxes from 1.6v to 1.57v~

🙂

sorry guys, been too busy today to play with 260fsb.
it looks like it will go, but not sure yet if it will go 5 hours 😉

(262fsb failed in 17 mins)
