Going out to lunch with my director today for my annual review. She told me last week that I was being promoted. Very exciting and eager to hear what my new salary will be. From what I understand, I think it's going to be a 20% salary increase.

I've been antsy all morning.

UPDATE 05/12/11:
Promoted w/18% pay increase; no negative comments other than I wear my emotions/feelings on my sleeve and it's very apparent when Im upset. Haha, I said my wife has been telling me the same thing ever since we've been together.

I kid, I kid ... best of luck and if you play your cards right maybe you can get a little afternoon delight with your review.

Good luck OP, can't beat a free lunch, but could feel wierd depending on your relationship w/ the director
 
Mine is next month and it is time for me to request a promotion or a big pay increase. I will hopefully have another offer by then to reinforce it. 😀
 
OP had to pay for the lunch at Denny's, and now is whoring himself out on the corner until the next paycheck.
