Annoying Virus, please help

Over the past few weeks, I keep getting this dumb email that always has a new subject. They range from Book1, to Please help.

All thats in the email is a simple one line message, usually saying, Here is what you wanted, or This is all i could give. My problem is, i can't block the email, or at least i dont know how. the email comes from @yahoo.com. And thats all. Theres nothing else in it, so if i wanted to block that, i'd block every from yahoo.

I assume this is just a virus. I dont know any of the other names in the list of to whom the email is going to either. For the latest one i have, it's book1.com. And thats all. Could this be maybe one of those annoying porn spam mail things? I dont have a virus protection on right now so i can't check. Hopefully someone knows.

Thanks.

If that's the only line in the email, how could it be porn spam? It certainly sounds like spam to me, which means the from address is a fake. There are several anti-spam tools available. I use the one built in with Thunderbird.

And if there is no attachment, how can it be a virus?

You don't have virus protection on, but the response you got was a link to an online virus scan.

There are several free antivirus programs available: Avast, Antivir, and AVG. Computer Associates is also currently offering one free year of EZ-Trust.

thx for the link. i know it will come in handy.
BUT.....
1. i went to computer associates, but could only find 30day free trial. anyone got a link to 1 year free
trial?
2. AVG 5uck5. a comptr i fis had AVG up and running. it notified that it
received a virus, BUT did not block it: the klez.h worm or virus or whatever.
and repeated scans of AVG wouldnt remove klez.h which infected 171 files.
so i repeat:
AVG does not block, and cannot remove, klez.h , which is #2 on the CA list of most common viruses.

There is an attachment with the email though.

When i said that the last one i had was book1.com, i meant that was the attachment. I have Norton, and have now installed it, so i'll run a check to see what i can do.
