Annoying screensaver glitch

My pictures slideshow keeps getting stuck. It does cycle through pictures, but it is stuck on the first couple subfolders in the my pictures folder. It is getting really annoying having only the same few pics out of more than 5500 show. It started suddenly and I can't remember exactly when.

Is there some way to fix this? Or is there some sort of limitation/glitch to the screensaver that if I get more than X number of subfolders it'll mess up?
