Okay, bascially, i have a dual boot system with win98 and win2k. And the screen/desktop size is smaller in win2k than it is in win98. In windows 2000, it doesn't FILL up the entire screen. I am running both oses at SAME RESOLUTION AND REFRESH RATES.

I have a Creative LAbs TNT 2 Ultra, using Nvidia 6.31 drivers in Nvidia Win98 and 6.31 drivers in win2k.

I don't want to change my monitor's settings in WIN2K because then if i boot to win98, the screen size will be all screwed up.

Yes I have exactly the same problem! Annoying isn't it?

I have never got round to fixing it yet, but I suspect that the HORIZONTAL refresh rate (the kHz) is not the same for both OSs?

Worth a try.

Yeah i think it is off a bit. Several people in the other topic forums have bascially said that it's a problem with the monitor drivers. My Sony G400 doesn't have drivers for win2k, only win98. I am using the win98 drivers in win2k.

using win98 drivers is not recommended for win2k.. that might be the problem. may be.
