Annoying screen flashes with new 6800GS

I've been having this annoying issue with my new 6800GS. The card is working perfectly but I get those flashes (where the whole screen turns black for one very rapid instance) whenever I open an AVI file or a window with thumbnails...I didn't have this issue with the old PNY 6800GS, so I am kinda confused.


Is it my new eVGA? I have an Abit K8N-SLI with an Envision EN2028 LCD.

I have similiar behaviour with my new X1600XT. The screen "flickers" (once) when XP first loads and when loading/exiting games. I don't know if it's some overlay type thing or what, but it's irritating. Sounds like the behaviour you're seeing is more extensive tho...

Thanks but that has only solved the issue in Windows Explorer but not upon Windows Media Player opening though...
