Annoying radio virus playing in the background

[IHAVEAQUESTION]

Just noticed that there is a very fainted radio sound playing in the background, I don't know when it started but if I use earbuds I can hear it barely.

So I researched online, ran a few spyware programs and still the radio is playing. I am running out of idea now. I even ran hijack this but was afraid to do more than just scanning it. Anyway, if any of you can make sense of the log, it's here:

Are you sure you aren't picking up terrestrial radio through your equipment? I've never had issues with my computer, but I've had other equipment pick up unusual radio transmissions.

When I plug in mic into my lappy, it picks up the radio station. But if I unplug, it just picks up static noise.

Why is it happening like this? No wonder my skype doesn't work too well.

That I don't know. Maybe bad shielding? You could try a different mic.

Do you live close to any broadcasting towers? I've definitely experienced this with earbuds and I always notice a tower very close broadcasting.

Once you plug those headphones into your computer all of the traces that it's connected to start to act like a giant antenna which is why you only hear static when it's unplugged. Make sure the cables for the headphones are intact and it's shielding isn't ripped.

This is a common problem with mics and is the reason why it's pretty expensive to set up recording systems that don't have these artifacts. It has to do with shielding and grounding and lots of radio freq signals all over the place. One simple solution I've used which pretty much gets rid of most of the interference is to use a ferrite bead rf choke and wrap the mike cable a few times around it right where the mic is plugged in. I can't tell you just which one to get or where to get it, but you might find it at radio shack possibly or also at a place called allelectronics.com, for a few bucks. You might also want to try a usb mic to see if it doesnt' work any better.

2- Uninstall Internet Explorer
3- Restart your computer

plug in your headphones and boot your computer straight into the bios/uefi setup screen (DO NOT LOAD THE OS). If the radio is still playing you do not have any software issues, you just live next to a big antenna. If you are not aware of any well known stations near you one of your neighbors maybe an amateur radio operator.

Most helpful to read this discussion. I have also had this issue happen to me, hearing faint music seeming to come from the computer. I didn't think it was an issue, just that it was strange I couldn't locate the origin.

His post is a little crazy sure, but for many users switching to Firefox or Chrome over IE is a great idea.

On Windows 7, clicking the volume button in the system tray brings up not only the volume control, but a sound meter that will visually show any sound the sound drivers are handling. Unless a virus/rootkit has hijacked the kernel to hide sound from the OS, you'll be able to visualize any audio output.

If you're system truly is putting out sound on its own, you'll see it here. Otherwise, chances are its just interference from nearby terrestrial radio/tv. This is exactly what the FCC logos/certification on all radio capable hardware is meant to help reduce/prevent.
