Annoying problem!

Well i am not going to type the whole thing, but rather say in simple terms because i am way too f****** p*****!!!
After refusing to activate my version of windows via the phone or internet, after 30 days i got locked out of Windows and caught in an Activation loop. So i formatted and re-installed. When i went into windows for the first time, it wanted to do a disk scan, so i skipped it, installed all my drivers n stuff, then rebooted.

When i was going back into windows i got the scan disk thing again and decided that i'd let it go. So after about 45 minutes of it doing all this stuff (Deleting orphan files, restoring orphan files and this and that) nothing much had changed and all was good, until I looked on my D drive (which i had not touched), to find that i was missing over 4 thousand images and heaps and heaps of music lost.

So now i need some way of getting everything back.

Please, i really need help with this, Does anyone know of any program that could possibly get everything back???

Thank-you for all your help

There are a few disk recovery tools out there. Try GetDataBack. It's worked well for me in the past.

If you do a search on the forum you should find other posts about recovering files.

Yea, but what bout this scan disk that was deleting those orphan files? Can u retrieve the stuff that the scan disk deleted?

Just run GetBackData and see what it finds!!! I've used it to recover files from malfunctioning drives, formatted drives, it works very well.

Ok, i've scanned the drive and found heaps of missing files, but in the actual program, i can't view any of the files that i want back. And i don't know how to put them back on my hdd.
