ANNOYING problem with Suspend/Sleep function!

When I leave my computer on for a longer period of time, it goes to sleep and never wakes up. I can press keys, but nothing works and I have to hit reset button. BUT, if it sleeps only for a short time, I can wake it up with no problem. Anyone know what is causing this? I was fine until I recelty reformatted my HD. Thanks.

what OS did you have, I used to have same problem with Win95 on and off

I have had this problem before with 95 & 98 and maybe 2000. After a long period of time the hard drive and network adapter were sleeping (in my case). Just just disable these from sleeping and it fixed my problem. It could also be an issue with the BIOS sleeping some things and Windows some others.

OK, thanks, I'll check it out. I have Windows 98.

Make sure your APM setting in the BIOS is set to S1(POS) and not S3(STR).
