Okay. So I just upgraded my mother's old Win Mill system to a more recent hand-me-down system with Win XP. I loaded the basics for her, including Office XP. She has a lot of fun with ani-gifs. She collects ones she likes and puts them in email for her friends. NOW however, all the animated .GIF files are just showing as not animated. I've spent a couple of HOURS serching for why the graphics are no longer animated. I finally realized they are still animated, but it just doesn't show it any longer when she edits the drafts in Outlook (or anywhere else, for that matter). Even after all the time I've spent on the stupid @#%@ I STILL can't find a simple @#@#! control to enable/disable animated GIFs. Anyone know where the hell I should look? I've looked everywhere I could think. Outlook settings, Word settings, System performance settings, Desktop setting. Don't know where else to go.
MS always has to screw things up that are working fine.
