Annoying IE problem

I'm running XP with SP2 installed. In internet explorer, on many download links, I will get yellow dropdown box messages at the top of my screen telling me that internet explorer has blocked the site from downloading to my computer. Usually if I click for more options I can get the file, but sometimes even this won't work (like for my homework hooray!) This began immediately after installing SP2. I have looked at the options and downloads are enabled, and can't find anything else strange. This is really pissing me off, and I can't seem to find the solution on google or anywhere else. Help! Thanks.

I've quit using firefox a long time ago, being able so stick it to miKKKro$oft is not worth the additional annoyances.

I found the solution to my problem, you need to enable automatic prompting for downloads in the security settings. Thanks for nothing 🙂
