Annoying facebook photo zooming issue

Hoping someone can clarify why this happens.

Whenever I have an image I'd like to share on my fb wall, facebook posts a highly zoomed in version, so the effect is completely lost and anyone seeing it will have no idea what is really being posted. I don't see a way to zoom out the photo.

There must be a way to post or share photos so that they appear properly.

Yeah. You have to match the aspect ratio of the cropped picture. You can do that by padding blank space to the sides with an image editor.
