Do you not know how to STFU? if I worked with women like this, I wouldn't give my true opinion at all. Everything is nice, everything looks great on you and everything is an improvement over yesterday.

We have a winner!

So the london chick sends an e-mail from her computer to our boss along the lines of a confession that the blonde has a crush on me lol. I tell her (lightly) she shouldn't send it, but leave me out of it - I have zero involvement. But I was joking about it to her afterwards.

Anyways, the prank wasn't taken lightly. And the blonde is pissed at me cause I abused her trust in me :-/ She gave me the silent treatment for the rest of the afternoon. But has a private 1-on-1 with my other chick co-worker (not the london one). And I'm like let me know when you wanna talk yeah. No response...

:)

Bunch of grab ass office play time BS. I'd fire all of you just to send a message to the rest of the organization.

That's true, thanks for that, I should give it a shot. I AM perennially single, with heaps of close female friends. Dunno why, but I struggle being dominant and masculine in conversation...but maybe now it's time to practise thru work lol. Hopefully I don't get a sexual harassment case though :-/ ;)

Quoted and bolded for truth. You are engaging women in conversation about fashion, prices of clothing and god knows what else. God damnit act like a man and you wont get caught up in these womanly problems. Next time some bitch at work starts cackling about a new purse, her manicure or whatever the fuck it is, grab your balls, remember your gender and STFU!

We basically connect people in the organisation and act as the middle-men (women) lol. Because everybody else aren't competent enough to work efficiently and effectively with others. Our role title is "Business Facilitation".

No, I do know how to talk to people. That's my job. But I feel its a waste of my energy having to tip-toe around my co-workers all day, when I should be spending my energies in building good relationships as part of my actual work.

I just want to do my job :(

What you call "tip - toe " around your co -workers IS your job. Ever hear of internal customers? Why is facilitating work with your own group wasting time? You seriously need to rethink your attitude. What you gave as examples isn't even work, it's relating to women in everyday conversation without being an oblivious Ron Swanson. It's the kind of consideration you'd give strangers let alone women you work with.

What is the possible upside of commenting on a female co-worker's looks or clothes or hair? None. Don't do it.

My group is 7 women and 3 men, I have never commented on their appearance in any way, I don't prank them, I don't socialize with them, and we all get along great.

If you don't want them to play the "female card" as you put it, don't make any comments that relate to them being female.

I get the feeling the OP is a bit socially awkward and is trying to copy what he sees in order to fit in. It would also explain his anger at the "female card". What he sees women do and say doesn't work out for him and it angers him.

He's trying. I'll give him that. A good rule is to always greet a woman with a compliment. The problems come when you don't know how to give a compliment.

Someone should find one of those cheesy human resources videos that show the "right" compliments for the OP.

Wtf are you asking females how much their clothes cost? That's just lame.

I think that if you're awkward enough A) to ask someone how much they clothes cost and B) tell them a hair colour not their own is classier, you're probably overestimating your conversational skills. I mean, we all say dumb things by mistake every once in a while, but this is basic stuff.

On their side, though, I'd guess that they've decided you're a bit of a loser and are oriented to take issue with absolutely anything that comes out of your mouth. Impressions like those are almost always permanent, so don't expect change to come unless you initiate it.

So... take your pick: Have a heart to heart with each of them separately (or maybe just the ringleader) and confess to them that while you admit you've said some pretty dumb things, the constant friction is really wearing on you. If they're anywhere near decent people they'll stop at that point (expect a few slip-ups, but it should mostly cease).
