So this years anniversary is supposed to be something with leather or glass (It can be as simple as flowers with a leather band tied on it or flowers in a glass vase). Anyone have any ideas. Looking in the $30-$50 range, something leather or glass. That is all.

A real wedding anniversary or a "dating anniversary"?

I don't know anyone who gives a crap about the "traditional" gifts based on how many years it's been. What does she actually like?

Best gift I can think of is a romantic weekend trip or romantic dinner at a restaurant that's usually not in the budget. Might go for some jewelry if it's a "special" anniversary, like the 10th or something like that.

This advice comes from a woman who has been married for 11 years.

I'd like to know as well. GF and I are celebrating 2 years in August. I've already done the earrings/watch/bracelet/flowers route. Need something new...

thanks for the real advice. we are going out to eat to a nicer place, but she's big into this "yearly gift" thing. There seems to be 2 sets of them, 1 "traditional" and 1 "modern". So she decided either is acceptable. Like last year was "cotton" so I put cotton balls in a large bouquet of flowers, so I don't think putting a piece of leather in a bunch of flowers will fly this year ;)

WTH is he getting out of it? :p

Seems that women always get nice gifts for anniversaries while men always get the shaft. There's nothing wrong with keeping the price low...unless you're getting something good in return besides sex ;)

Cripes, no "pearl necklace" yet? ATOT is truly falling apart. Well I guess I'll do the needful:

[glass] pearl necklace.

See if you can find one of those dominatrix-themed restaurants (well, they have 'em here in NY), so you can combine dinner with leather. :)
