Annisman Hardware Giveaway
I'm incredibly excited to announce my first ever giveaway here at anandtech forums !
A simple google search of "Annisman giveaway" will show you that there have been many others, but none of them have been held here, which I affectinately conisder my new hardware/tech stomping grounds.
I have worked with the moderators closely to start this up, and naturally I beleive the first one will be (and should be) heavily scrutinized and vetted. So let's keep things professional and fun to allow more giveaways to be offered in the future.
What are the Annisman Giveaways ?
The answer is simple, I, Annisman, often upgrade my PC to the latest and greatest, often times leaving me with unused hardware sitting around. Often this hardware is barely used and in excellent condition. Sometimes (as in this giveaway) a new item will be given away that I have purchased specifically for the purpose of giving it away to the community.
Why do I give it away ?
Partly because I hate trying to sell on Ebay/CL, partly because I have the money and I feel like it, and mostly because it's fun to do, for me, and I hope everybody else too.
How many items may I enter to win ?
You may enter to win one item only. So pick the one you desire most. If you enter for multiple items you will not qualify for any of them, so just be smart.
How do I 'win' an item ?
Usually there are minor restrictions to who can enter for certain items. (These restrictions are clearly stated below next to each item) There are also small requests that I may make, like telling me what you plan on using the hardware for if you win, and/or other trivial requests.
Once a user has entered properly they automatically have a chance at winning that item, as my giveaways are always random drawings.
How do I know if I entered properly ?
Simply check post #2 in this thread to see if your name is listed under the item that you are hoping to get. I will update the qualifying entries once a day, or as often as I can. But certainly before the giveaway ends.
How long will this giveaway run ?
Tenatively, from Thursday August 23rd to Wed. August 29th 8:00 P.M.
I do however hold the right to either lengthen or shorten this giveaway as needed. If that happens, it will of course be made known.
When will the items be shipped ?
Within a day of the announcement of winners. I will pay the shipping costs.
Can I enter if I don't live in the USA ?
I'm sorry, but no you cannot. You must live in the contintental USA to enter any of my giveaways. This is something I may change in the future. But as of this giveaway USA only.
Note: Anybody can enter for the Steam game, so if you live in Canada for example, you are free to enter for that.

HIS IceQ X Turbo 7850

Lovely little card, comes with an excellent overclock and one of the best coolers around. This card is just over a month old, it has been used in my brother's PC. It is no longer needed because I recently swapped it with one of my three GTX670 4GB, which sadly never gave me much advantage over just SLI.
Restrictions: You may not enter if your current video card is at GTX 560 (Nvidia) or 5850/6870 (ATI) or higher. This is not a very high bar, but it should allow a fair amount of people to enter, and to also be getting a legitimately decent upgrade if they win, which is the important part.

Secondly, you must have at least 75 posts here at Anandtech at the time of entering. If you enter with less than 75 posts you will not be qualified.
Thirdly, you must have an available PCI-E slot, and a proper power supply (brand name, greater than 400W I would imagine.)

Razer Tiamat 7.1 Circumarual Surround Gaming Headset

These headphones are phenomenal for first person shooters, and pretty average for everything else. Though I often play FPS, I couldn't stand swapping them out with my SteelSeries Siberia V2 cans to listen to music with. So now that I don't use them they're up for grabs. Oh, and they're about 2 weeks old with maybe 10 hours of total use, practically brand new.
Restrictions: You may not enter for the headset if you already have a mid/highend headset already. Use common sense, I would say if they cost more than 50 dollars they are at least mid range.
You must have either a sound card with 7.1 inputs (front, rear, side, sub, mic) or 7.1 inputs on your motherboard, which many now have. These headphones cannot be used without these inputs as they are physically 7.1 not 2.0 ! If you are not sure what you have you can ask in this thread.
You must have at least 50 posts at the time of entering, if you enter without having 50 posts you will not qualify.
This is not a restriction, but I strongly suggest anybody considering entering for these headphones be an avid FPS gamers, and either have a decent 7.1 soundcard or are planning on getting one. Again, not a restriction just a very logical suggestion, as if you plan on using these to play music or don't want to invest in a 7.1 soundcard you will be shortchanging what this headset is actually made for.

Corsair H80 Liquid CPU cooler

Purchased this just for this giveaway. It is brand new in the box. I've never owned an H80 but I have owned both the Domino A.L.C. and Corsair H100 and both have treated me well.
Restrictions: You may not enter if you already have a mid/high end CPU cooler. Again, use common sense, if the cooler was more than 30 dollars I wouldn't enter.
You must have either an Intel socket 775, 1155, 1156, 1366 or 2011. AMD AM2/AM3 socket for compatibility with the cooler.
You must have an available 120mm fan mount on either the rear or top of your PC case. Just about every case can mount one of these but if you're not sure, just ask !
You must have at least 25 posts at the time of entering, if you enter without having 25 posts you will not qualify.
Directions (All of these must be done):
- List your PC specs
- Tell me have you ever overclocked your CPU ? Would you do it if you won the cooler ?
- Give me your CPU history (for example mine would be AMD 3700 > AMD 4800 > Intel E6600 > Intel E8400 > Intel Q9650 > Intel i7 920 > Intel i7 3930K.
- Post a funny picture involving 'I can has cheezburger'
- Sit back and relax, you're entered.

Have you browsed the above items and found you don't need or want any of them ? Is your post count too low to enter ? Is your rig so uber that you don't qualify to enter ? Then this is the item for you to enter for ! Anybody and everybody who didn't enter for a piece of hardware may enter for this one.
If you enter for this and win, I will steam-gift you a steam game, or a handful of games not totalling more than 50 USD$
I have been known to increase the number of these Steam gifts depending on demand. So it is possible I may increase it to two or three gifts of 50$, but I may not as well.
