Wow, that's very generous of you.

I might enter for a game tomorrow but I really don't know what I should ask for.

I also thank the OP, was at TH forum when he did similar giveaways. Remember them, but forgot how they can add levity to a forum, which is a very good thing.
Will throw my hat in, thanks. Here is a picture of a past pet, for many years. Will update post with rig pics soon.

Cool, didn't realize you were over at TH with me. Very dissapointed how watered down those forums got, and kind of jumped ship to here. There sure is alot more, um, personality here at times, but much more in depth discussion and knowledgeable input overall.

Your cat. Is. So cute ! What a darling.

I....think that disqualifies you?

The HTPC I feel is a valid candidate. While yes I do have a "main" gaming pc, The HTPC is used a lot more and has specific needs. The Titan rig is in my man cave and only gets used at night when the little one goes to bed and I can slip away.

The HTPC is running off of the integrated graphics for now and patiently waiting for the right card. The highest card I have to put it in is a launch 480 that runs very hot and is a terrible card for the application. I have lots of older cards but none of them are adequate for the specific application. I need a blower card and it needs to be efficient while being able to play the latest games while I'm stuck on baby duty.

This is something I am currently discussing. Though you do have 'a' pc that meets the requirements to enter, you already have 'a' graphics card that disqualifies you. ( a pretty epic one by the way!)

The intention of my giveaways, at heart, is to hopefully send whatever hardware I choose to giveaway, to a user that will greatly benefit from recieving it. Or to someone that simply can't afford that hardware in the first place. Ask yourself, is that you ?

Now, because my giveaways are completely random to those who enter, I have set up (what I think is) fair guidelines to help make sure whoever is able to enter, qualifies as someone who can truly benefit if they end up actually winning. ( like restricting who can enter based on how powerful their current GPU is)

For those who are fortunate enough not to rely on a giveaway to enjoy good computer hardware, I have given you your own opportunity to win something, 50$ worth of Steam games. Which is open to anybody.

Anyways, I will have an answer soon for you Lava whether or not you can actually qualify for the video card.

Sounds good. I'm not going to be heartbroken if I get turned down. I understand if that is the case. I just have a system in need and it is for a noble cause.

Cheers

Good on you for doing this. Not entering but I will update my post with a really funny picture of one of our cats where she looks like she's giving the finger. Just need to think of a good caption to go with it :)

Wish I had a PC :) building a gaming PC/cruncher after not having a desktop for 4+ years. Maybe I could take a pic of my tablet and make a meme?

Hm... my PC is too powerful to enter, but I'd like to say that it is wonderful that you do this! I'd like a shot at the Steam game (actually, 2 shots, since I can't qualify for the GPU, right?)

Anyway, here goes:

1. Picture of my PC
20121227231837.jpg

2. Stats:
  • CPU: i5-3570K @ 4.2GHz, stock voltage
  • Motherboard: mATX Gigabyte Sniper M3
  • HSF: Cooler Master 212 EVO (with Corsair 120 SP Quiet Editions in push/pull)
  • RAM: Samsung RAM @ 1600MHz CL 9-9-9-24
  • GPU: EVGA 670 FTW 2GB
  • SSD: OCZ Agility 4 256GB
  • PSU: Seasonic X650
  • Case: Silverstone Temjin-08e mATX case

If I win... I'd like to be able to play Total War: Shogun II (its $30). The other $20 can go to the other person who wins (if it's allowed :) ). If it's not allowed, my other choice would be Shift 2: Unleashed.

I highly doubt a GTX 670 would fit in my laptop, so I'd love to enter to win a steam game!

So here is my setup:

8536499424

The laptop is the 2012 15inch Macbook Pro with Retina Display. Systems specifications are as follows:
  • i7-Q3720 2.6GHz IB Quad Core
  • 16GB DDR3 1600MHz RAM
  • 256GB SSD
  • NVIDIA GT 650M 1GB GDDR5
  • 2800*1800 Retina Display
  • 23inch LG IPS 1080p display

If I win, my game of first choice would be Left 4 Dead 2 for Mac and then as my second choice Counter Strike: Global Offensive.

Just to humour people I stumbled across a super cool picture of a sloth.

Great work annisman! I think the cards should be appropriated to people that do not own a powerful card already, no matter the PC. I mean, I have a 680gtx but I have 4 other computers that qualify, but I wouldn't think of entering... Let the people that haven't experienced the current high end cards get a go at them, not us with multiple computers.

Tip o' hat to you, sir.

I only wish I could have borrowed those 670s to test in my rig before they find their new homes.

Good luck to all the entrants!

Very nice! I won't enter for the card since I've already built (couple months back, been too lazy to install stuff on it) my next rig with an EVGA GTX 670 2GB.

Maybe for a Steam game? I wouldn't mind BlackOps II (I can PayPal you for amount over $50). Alternately, Might and Magic Heroes VI Gold.

Here is my current rig (pending installing/copying games over to my new one).

Does 480 SLI disqualify me for the cards?

Didn't see anything in the rules about SLI/CF configs if user would move to single card...

IE 480 SLI is more powerful than 1 GTX 670, but 1 670 > 1 480

I'll bite. Too little post count for the card so I'll go in for the STEAM game--Dark souls because I heard it was tough and games nowadays are often made too easy :(

Yes, it does disqualify you. CF and SLI need to be taken into account.
