Annihilator: It's a geforce right?

My friend keeps arguing with me.. I keep telling him that a bunch of different cards all use Geforce chipsets and there are different ones like the GTS, etc and he keeps arguing...

What are all the different geforces?

And he says "What did you say the annihilator had, nvidia or asus? (yes there is a diff)" .. Last time I checked Asus did not manufacture geforce chips.. What am I missing, am I right, etc..

I know there are Asus and Creative video cards that use Geforce-something's, but what he was arguing was so stupid.. I just want to make sure I'm on the right track here.

Annihilator ? as in Creative Lab ?? yeah, they use GeForce chips made by nVidia which is the only company that can makes them, Asus uses nVidia chips in their Geforce

Too many GeForces around

Theres like

GeForce then SDR, DDR, 256/DDR. GeForce2 GTS, GTS 64MB, MX, Pro, Ultra

I'm probably missing one or two..

mostly faster version of each and a little different features..

ur right, asus does not make geforce chips, only uses them.

A lot of card makers make GeForce based cards. Even Abit does. There are different versions like the MX, Ultra normal GTS etc. But all MXs use the same Nvidia chip.

There are lots of different card makers that use GeForce, Geforce2 MX, GeForce2 GTS, GeForce2 Pro, GeForce2 Ultra cards. Only Nvidia makes the actual Geforce chips tho.

Annihilator is specifically a Creative card

Annihilator= GeForce SDR
Annihilator Pro= GeForce DDR
Annihilator 2=GeForce2 GTS
Annihilator 2 MX=GeForce2 MX
Annihilator 2 Ultra= GeForce2 Ultra
