I'd say that mozilla the browser is drifting into obscurity because of firebird, but mozilla the organization isn't losing popularity at all IMO.

The reason the Mozilla suite (aka Seamonkey) is not progressing much is that it will soon be replaced by Firebird, which is advancing more quickly.

In terms of actual features, Firebird is having more changes made to it right now than seamonkey. The suite is largely just having bugfixes until firebird replaces the main browser.

Wasn't it released with Firebird 0.7 and Thunderbird 0.3? The mozilla.org ftp server was dead from everyone downloading from them.
