i dont follow the action genre much at all
but from what I have seen Gurenn Lagann was very action packed, you might like it.

You should probably check out some mech anime. I really had fun with Outlaw Star too, though I thought it kind of unraveled at the end into ethereal weirdness.

Samurai Champloo has tons of action and great art.

Bleach/Naruto have gobs of action.

Sounds like you're not big on dialogue, so the list is short, sorry.

I haven't seen Outlaw Star, but I'll second Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.

Outlaw star is a mix between Cowboy Bebop and Excel Saga. More action + humor, less dialogue + plot, lower production values overall. Still fun stuff.

Black Lagoon, but I don't think it has been dubbed if that bothers you.

I decided to start watching this series and all I can say is Holy Shit!

I just finished episode 15 (Hansel and Gretel, twins 2nd episode) and holy crap. I mean things were really twisted before eps. 14 and 15, but once those characters were introduced things just wend off the deep end.

Very good series so far IMHO. Lots of blood and killing; definitely not for the faint of heart.

Black Lagoon. Hilarious with tons of action.

But Samurai Champloo is still my favorite by far. Perfect balance of everything.

I loved Outlaw Star... My greatest addiction has been Fullmetal Alchemist though. Damn I love that anime.

outlaw star is a pretty classic anime. lately i've been into more slice of life and humor anime though. for humor watch minami-ke 1 and 2, sayonara zetsubou sensei 1 and 2, lucky star and Hayate no Gotoku. i found all of them to be hilariously funny(if you've never seen lucky star, you should watch it). downside is that minami-ke 2 and sayonara zetsubou sensei 2(quite a bit of talking, but there's a lot of one liners) are currently ongoing. spice and wolf is another very good one that i've fallen into lately, they've only got 4 episodes so far but its quite good it seems.
there's also macross if your looking for space types. dont bother with robotech because its based off of macross and two other stories. the first ever is the super dimension fortress macross(full given name), then theres macross 2012: do you remember the love?, then macross 2, macross plus, macross 7(with ova's and movie), and the newest one is macross F(or Frontier) which is only on its second episode soon. so far it seems pretty good and it has yoko kanno doing the soundtrack as well. for those of you who dont know, yoko kanno did the soundtrack to macross plus and cowboy bebop and some other series's i haven't heard of.

I revived the thread cuz I was kinda bored.

Very good list right there, my top picks atm.
Kinda behind in some of those shows started in January, but just add H2O, True tears and Kimi ga Aruji de Shitsuji ga Ore de and you have the exact list of shows on my watch list. Truth be told, I bet okawari is a serious letdown for most minami-ke fans. Not only the drawing quality have gone to the gutters, they are missing that intagible feeling of cleverness with their jokes now, feels sorta bland now :( the only consolation I get is the ED with kana dominating the screen throughout the entire sequence.

oops, how did I forget Shigofumi
and Aria the Origination of course.
