Anime recommendations

Looking for something to watch with the kids. We are currently having a blast watching the Last Airbender series (which I guess is not technically anime since it is American) and my boy (5) loves basically anything by Studio Ghibli. Are there any kid friendly anime series out there worth checking out besides Pokemon and DBZ?

School Rumble
One Piece
Naruto
Eyeshield 21
Full Metal Panic Fumoffu
Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann

To watch with what age kids? Crunchyroll.com has a lot of decent anime. They've got a number of non-violent ones that younger kids would like, mine were into Chi, Kaasan - Mom's Life, and Yumeiro Patissiere. I'm partial to Fairy Tail myself.

hmmm, time to introduce him to berserk.

I'm willing to be pretty flexible on what's good for kids, but even still I wouldn't call Berserk kid friendly... I'm a big fan of Berserk (including the manga), but it gets pretty rough at the end of the anime (beginning too? can't remember if anime includes those parts).

I'm pretty sure he was joking.

I second One Piece and Naruto. Both have elements that kids AND adults can enjoy. Although, I wouldn't let someone too young watch Naruto. There is some real violence at times. One Piece is more tame. Almost no one ever dies or is seriously injured.

If your boy is 5, then Ponyo is perfect. Totoro might be a bit much for him. Astro Boy is always good (the series, not the movie).

Totoro is skewed a bit older (10+) I was thinking he might lose interest. If he liked it then good for him.

Why no love for DBZ? DBZ IS AWESOME

The plot goes something like this:

5 episodes of: "GRRRRR GRRRR GAAAAHAHAH AAAAAAAH!" And monologues
Next episode: Some fighting.
Next episode: "NOW I WILL USE MY TRUE STRENGTH!"
5 more episodes of: "GRRRRR GRRRR GAAAAHAHAH AAAAAAAH!" And monologues
Next episode: Some fighting.
Next episode: "NOW I WILL REALLY REALLY USE MY TRUE STRENGTH!"
Repeat until end.
