Fox will air an animated version of the SF series Stargate SG-1 on Saturday mornings, starting in the fall, according to a report on the Gateworld Web site.
According to "Impact" magazine, MGM has ordered 26 episodes of the series, called "Stargate: Infinity." The magazine also says that Infinity will be produced by DIC Entertainment (responsible for Inspector Gadget & Captain Planet). Infinity will take place about 20 years after the events of the movie "Stargate," but will try not to contradict the established history of both the Showtime/SciFi Channel series and the movie.
