Yes, but why you'd want one is anyone's guess.

1. Enable active desktop if it's not already enabled.
2. Put the .gif animation (the only supported format for animated wallpaper) in your C:\WINNT directory.
3. In Display Properties, choose it as your wallpaper. You're all set. :D

AFAIK it is possible, but why would you want to? I don't even want to imagine the hit system resources would take.

Do a google search, you'll find stuff.

Ryan Geiss makes a pretty cool psychedelic animated desktop program called Drempels. I don't know if it works under W2K, though.

It works in w2k. Love that program, though I dont use it.. its just the best of its kind.

to make an animated background:
1. make a flash file. assuming u have macromedia flash 4 or 5.
2. publish it
3. tell windows to take that html document u just published to be the background. hit browse to find the html document.

its cool at first. but very distracting when doing work.

That Drempels program is reallly cool. I have it running now. It slows down the system a lot, but that's probably because I'm running it on a P2 400mhz. with a 32MB TNT2 video card.
