animal rights protesters are ****** IDIOTS

theyre one small step up from being actual terrorists...........for the sake of a ****** ****** of a rat.

i hope some one shoots the ****** square in the face.

they're attacking anyone at all linked with oxford university and any company and its members linked with the building of the new animal testing lab in oxford.

i mean they say they are fair and legal in protests.....but how is vandalising private property, attacking people who disagreee with them, blowing stuff up, setting fire to shops that sell fur and diggin up some ones dead mother fair and legal?

and the free speech they love so much, the free speech that grants them the right to protest, they wont allow any of the opposition to get a word in edge ways.

seriously.....would this kind of animal rights nuttyness go down in the US? without someone getting shot?

I don't condone animal testing on domesticated animals (dogs, cats...etc) but as far as rats, or any consumable (cows or pigs) animals go, I don't really care.

I am one of those that get angry when a dog or cat is harmed though...

oh here we go

theyre having a debate, and the animal rights nut jobbers wont let the other people speak

how can you have a debate where only one person speaks.

some one gag the ******

(btw watchin a program on BBC2 about animal testing)

lol theyre saying to the pro - animal testing lot to get proper jobs! hahahaha

get a proper job when all they do is sit at home in a run down shack sponging off the state and collecting donations and standing outside shouting abuse at anyone who cares to walk past.

what a bunch

I'm watching the same thing.

Never understood it - how can people get so angry about guinea pigs when so many human beings die unnecessarily every day...

I remember reading about the Oxford stuff. Last I heard Oxford was standing strong and support was galvanizing in support of the testing lab. That still holding up?

So how do you draw a distinction? You're no better than the nutty idiots burning things and protesting, the only difference is you're too weak to stick to your convictions properly.

i don't care what animal they test on. if it leads to a discovery of a cure for aids, cancer or baldness i don't care if they test on any animal.

theyre totally retarded arent they

i mean that young lad can now stand because of the testing done on monkeys

im sure the animal protesters would change their tune when their 6 year old developes a rare disease that destroys all ability to control movement, i really think they would.....and although i dont wish it upon anyone id love to see them denied the treatment, becuase what theyre doing is effectively the same thing....denying treatment to others becuase a white rats life is more important.

Some animals rights protestors hvae a few valid points such as minimizing suffering during animal testing but many go too far or simply want to ban animal testing all together which just shows a poor grasp of science.

I feel the same way, especialy if it leads to a cure for baldness.

I love animals, I grew up with 5 dogs- but there are few things that someone can vehemently protest about and not look like a nutjob.

Absolutely. Those are just three of the things I approve of animal testing for.

I've always wondered how many insects they killed with their cars on the way to a protest.

One girl I use to work with said the cuteness of an animals eyes determined if it was right or wrong to kill it. How can you argue with that logic?

the best part is that 99% of them are pro-choice. WTG genius!

Don't put make up on a pig but feel free to puncture the skull of a fetus. Nice mixed signals.

Generalization FTL.

They dug up someone's dead mom? 😕 That's messed up.

That one really pissed me off. It was the owner of a farm which produces guinea pigs, some of which were used for research - they robbed his grandmother's grave. Apparently they kept the body stored somewhere for ages, presumably just to look at it...

First of all that's a gross generalization with no stats to back it up. Secondly youre comparing apples and oranges. The two issues are way too different. Animal rights groups contend that you can have safe product testing without using animals. So in their view, harming animals is an unnecessry process. Also many people interested in animal rights aren't protesting the use of animals models in science, only any unnecessary procedures. For example there are rule against clipping mice (cutting their digits for ID'ing) as well as how to kill them properly. THey still recognize the need for animal models in science, but want to minimize their suffering

In pro-choice supporters, they're still interested in protecting people, although in this case what defines a person is what's being debated. I think they stil want abortions to happen as humanely as possible, ie no coat hanger action.

Animal activists are a global problem. We should give them their own country

then bomb the hell out of it.
