she's a shitty parent for raising a kid that would riot to begin with, not for popping him upside the head when he does it.

What she did, regardless of language used, was proper parenting. She knew what her son would understand, and that was force. Clearly, a 'strongly worded text' wasn't going to cut it.

She reacted strongly to a situation that needed it.

If your child is about to do something extremely dangerous, you don't "ask nicely", you act. Kid going to touch a hot stove? You don't say "it's hot don't touch it", you physically prevent them from touching it ASAP.

I'm OK with her overreacting a bit, the situation called for it. Parents who don't advocate corporal punishment don't get this, but many of them are the same people calling her parent of the year.

I mean she isn't, because her son was there in the first place, but what she did on that day was exactly what was needed.
 
Guy was fighting against opression. Mother knew that fighting against oppression is very dangerous, often deadly, and she wasnt ready to lose her child.
 
Great that she did that and all.

But you call that a beating? That was WEAK at best.

Thanks to internet there will be plenty of embarrassment to follow....which is ALWAYS the best lesson.

When a black guy kills a white guy its called "crime". The white guy is labeled as a victim, and the black guy is called the criminal. The black guy is prosecuted. The white guy is not blamed. Sometimes, they call it crime, even if the black guy was defending himself.

When white people kill black people, its often given the label of "self defense". The white guy is labeled as a victim, and the black guy is called the criminal. The white guy is not blamed. Sometimes, they call it self defense, even if it was actually crime.

So, that is the crux of the problem, systematically, we as society are mistreating black people. Or is your whole argument one of semantics?

In which case, semantics do not matter, only life matters.

I'm not trying to defend shitty cops.Not at all.

I'm just saying where is the outrage from black community when something crazy happens to white people.

No where to be found.

Also, let's not forget that for every 1 black person that gets killed/abused by police there is THOUSANDS that don't....but of course people are not smart enough to figure that out. Media doesn't help by feeding the ignorant.....

Better yet, where is the outrage at black on black crime? Black people are killing EACH OTHER on regular basis and I see 0 demonstrations or anything being done about it.

You see. These demonstrations do NOTHING. Most of those people are out there just so they can get free shit, act like clowns and destroy something.

What's the point?
