Angry Moms Boycott Eatery That Asks Kids To Keep Quiet

Strange... I have two kids & I also don't need a sign to tell them to be quiet & behave... if they don't they'll have me to deal with and it won't be pretty.... also my younger daughter used to act up all the time & again no one had to tell me not to take her out anywhere other then a family restaurant, my wife & I never took her anywhere where quiet was expected until just recently when she began showing self control & I don't think thats too much to expect.

The ultimate example of parents without a clue has to be infants/toddlers in the movie theater.. its one thing to take a 5 year old to the latest Disney cartoon and quite another to take a 2 year old to a serious movie in a crowded theater, yet the last two movies I went to sure enough thats what happened... just unreal!

This is the important line of the article. Once more the entitlement mentality so ever growing in this country rears it's ugly head. These damn angry women don't want to be a proper parent. I guess they are too busy to actually teach their kids how to act or be bothered with policing them in public. If it was my store I would simply kick out the people with kids that were acting up and inform them they are no longer welcome.

Stuffing something is someone's mouth to shut them up can be quite effective. Worked for all my GFs.

Our movie theather banned kids after 8pm without a parent. Best thing they ever did, they get way more buisness. i wish we would see more of this. When I was a kid my parents had me under control, more and more you dont see that anymore, just kids controlling their parents. That is why the government seems to need to regulate things like video games, tv shows, movies, books, etc. Because parents can't control themselves, let alone their kids.

LOL I would love for my restaurant to put up the sign... I hate dealing with whiny, unruly children at work, its a NICE place and parents start to chit-chatting and no amount of animal crackers or crayons (which I keep in my apron) help them from running, yes running all over the place and the parents sit there and smile until someone a server or management asks the parents to "have the kids take a seat for their safety"..seriously its the only line that works .. too many trays have and will go a flying and for the screaming, 75% don't care, they let the children scream it out........

These people are idiots. What would really interest me is to find out what percentage of these parents do not believe in spanking their kids. I'd be willing to bet that the majority of these parents give their kids "timeouts" instead of spanking them.....and IMO, that would explain why their kids don't behave.

i was listening to a radio talk show last night on my way home from work and they were talking about this same exact issue. most of the callers calling in had the same exact responses as in this thread - they agree with the restaurant owners

I've yelled at kids in my store for beating up on eachother or fscking around with my demo stuff too much. Ex: "HEY! No one gets to beat up on people in my store except for me! So take it out side or knock it off!" The parents who are generally 2 feet away from their kids look at me and smile. Fsck, I'm an 18 year old register jockey that knows how to parent their kids more than they do.
