Angel Food Cake vs. Tree Bark: Which tastes better?

my girlfriend mixes frozen strawberries with whipping cream to make this mousse topping, then puts it on fresh baked angel food cake for birthdays. It's so yummy.

Dead serious: try this, it is awesome!

1 C sifted flour
1/2 C granulated sugar

- Sift the above ingredients together 5 times and set aside.


- Place following in mixer bowl and beat(#10 speed)until foamy (about 1/2 minute)

1-1/2 C egg whites (1 dozen lg or x-lg eggs)
1/2 t salt

- Add 1t Cream of tartar to the above and beat until stiff (about 2-1/2 - 3 minutes)

- Sprinkle 3/4 C sifted sugar onto above and beat (#8 speed) for about 1 minute

- Add 1 t vanilla extract, 1 T lemon juice and 1/2 t almond extract - mix quickly at #2 speed.

Sprinkle on flour and sugar mixture you set aside in step 1 over the course of 1/2 minute, while
beating only to blend.

Pour mixture into tube pan and run knife around pan 6 times to break up any air bubbles.

Bake at 375 for 30-35 minutes.
