Andy Richter to rejoin Conan on The Tonight Show

I didn't think his TV show was that bad, but I'm really glad that he's coming back. I'll definitely be tuning in to see Conan's first show at the new time slot!
 
oh my god that's fucking awesome.. he NEVER should have left in the first place.

he really isn't that funny on his own but his chemistry with Conan is what made that show.

I quite liked Andy Richter Controls the Universe.
 
His announcer? They should keep using Joel Goddard as the announcer and have Andy back in the co-host spot, a la Ed McMahon. You know, like it used to be.

I'm sorry, but Joel is too creepy for the 11:30 audience. I love Joel as much as the next Conan fan, but his Asian man-lovin' ain't gonna cut it 🙂

But according to the article, Andy will still be a big part of the sketches a la the way that Joel (Late Night) and John Melendez (Tonight Show) already do.

Me to. I watched it once thinking it be garbage but maybe have a funny Conan cameo. But I really liked it.
 
YES!!! I sincerely hope they do the staring contests and the skits where they show those silly photos of their latest trips (which, btw, are so eff'in HILARIOUS).

i remember watching conan every day coming home from HS. I used to set the timer to tape him and letterman in the mid-late 90's. watched both of them for about 5 years straight. classic!
 
I remember this Conan / Andy skit where they played Hall & Oates after the breakup or something.

I like that show as well.

His Andy Barker PI show disappeared pretty quickly, I never checked it out.

Agreed. It was certainly better than a huge swath of the dreck that currently blights the airwaves, and if it came back anew, I'd watch. :thumbsup:

Ed McMahon was also Carson's announcer. so maybe 'twill be like Andy's role?
