I just rooted my phone and am considering getting an Anti-Virus. I used ESET before but it seemed to slow things down (anyone else experience this?) . I intend to backup my phone regularly but was wondering if there's any products that track a phone down or lock it if stolen?

Lookout is probably the most popular anti virus. AVG is supposed to be pretty decent too.

For stolen devices.. SeekDroid is by far the best IMO. It can remote wipe the whole phone and SD card. It also can send you the phones GPS coordinates if it is on and hasn't been wiped clean yet.

Just to add here for seekdroid... you can remotely control your full phone from their website. You can see on a map where your phone is, the battery level, sent and received calls and you can even set a PIN lock code remotely. Though my favorite is the annoying ass alarm you can make it sound and scream out with a message on it to please return to the owner.

I've never used that feature for that reason....

Now I could really use a seekkeys app....
