Android or windows equivalent to apples ipad(md511ll/a)

not sure but i thnk me mums ipad has retina diaplay. I much prefer googles ecosysem tho, Any android or even windows tablets with high res good display like the ipad in the title ?

Galaxy Tab S3...a new one is coming out soon. I have two versions of the original Tab S and I really like both of those tablets...screen was gorgeous compared to any iPad when I looked at them side by side. I do a lot of media consumption and they work well for that. Screen resolution on my tablets is 2560x1600, so better than the "retina" screens on the iPad. The newest Tab S versions have a 2048 x 1536 screen (still "retina"), which was a downgrade in res obviously but they were trying to be more like Apple, to their detriment IMO.

Microsoft Surface Pros are also good tablets from what I understand, but quite expensive compared to Android tablets.

Can't go wrong with Microsoft surface or the Google pixel C. I have all 3 tablets and the pixel C is closest match to the ipad.

If I was buying a tablet today, it would probably be a Pixel C. If they ever have a good deal on them I will probably gift my Air 2 to a family member and pick one up.

Pixel C is just above 2k resolution. Most Windows tablets are 1080p or less, except almost-4k displays on the Surface Pro 4.

I like 1080p displays. I have two Android tablets and two Windows tablets: Surface 3 (non-pro), HP Spectre x2, Lenovo A10 and a 2-in-1 called the "pro12" - all are 1080p displays.
