android music player?

slag

What's the best music player out there for android based phones that allow you to easily create playlists, integrate with the home screen, and are just the best of the best? I've been using the stock music player and its a big pos. I want something with a good widget as well if possible.

Power Amp. Love it. Works great, has real EQ and looks fab. I use it on all my phones and my transformer.

Cubed or Cloudskipper, Cloudskipper is new but the developers seem to be hell bent on adding features and fixing bugs. I paid for Power Amp, but I usually use Cubed. Cubed comes up as 3 in the Market

Quebert... you need to start a blog that talks about all your customization and app selection... either that or I need to find a way to steal your phone for a few days.

Just downloaded cubed and really really like it...

Fede's music app is pretty cool.

Its made by the same guy as Launcher pro and looks like the window phone 7 music app.

This x 1,000,000.

I was wondering how he'd get around the alpha versions of his music app looking nearly identical to the Zune HD software. The solution was brilliant--basically release a beta that wasn't skinned (that still looks great, BTW) and then have the community create the Zune HD skin. That way he'd avoid becoming a target of Microsoft's lawyers.

Does it have an equalizer?

On a related note, I have headphones with the pause button that you can double click to skip to the next song. Is there a way to get this to control pandora or another music app aside from the stock player?

isyncr + stock player

Why? You sync from itunes and it imports your playlists exactly as you have them in itunes. Just like an iPhone.

I'm sure there's better, but I've been digging WinAmp. It's had the resume of any other apps I've sampled. But, I haven't dabbled in any others in months...

My problem with WinAmp is I'm having issues trying to go to the external SD (I guess my device has an internal one as well so when I select it always goes there). I'm trying out some players from the lists.

EDIT: I'm going to have to go with Power Amp for now. Supports more file types, wish it supported WMA lossless, though.

not all of us use itunes
actually id wager the majority do not

Poweramp as others have suggested is the best one

Poweramp's slow and clunky as hell. If it didn't have an EQ I wouldn't touch it. Cubed might not have an EQ, but I find everything else about it vastly superior.

I love Cubed's interface, but file support is worse than Power Amp. I, unfortunately, decided on WMA for my lossless ripping, if I could find a player that supports that then EQ be darned.

Since it's lossless, have you thought about simply transcoding into another lossless format that's supported?

Yeah, it's just that it suits my other player and my PC player. I'd probably be better off replacing those as finding an Android player that even supports WMA period is challenging. FLAC seems the preferred lossless format for Android. They even have APE support for several players, go figure.

EDIT: I also have a LOT of WMA files to convert (like 1000 CDs worth).

I've started using Songbird recently and really like it. Works well, has lock screen function, and syncs perfectly with iTunes for those that use it, it's so much better than doubletwist it isn't even funny.
