Android GPS Camera app

Google search didnt show a lot that pertained to exactly what I'm looking for..


I need a Camera app capable of taking still images and embedding a GPS coordinate in the image, yes there's lots out there that will add it to the EXIF data but I'm not really interested in that. Kudos if it can support different datums, specifically MGRS.

op mentioned he is not looking for coords in exif data which is what all the stock apps do. He wants something to write that data into the image itself.

well, i haven't heard of such an app, but perhaps I will take a crack at creating something like that next weekend 🙂

Even the stock AOSP camera in Gingerbread has the option to "enable location" which embeds the location with each image taken. Usually there is an option within the camera app itself.

read the thread! he doesn't want gps embedded in exif data, he wants it "burned in" to the image itself.
