Android device manager is live.

I'm talking about accessing the map to find your lost or missing devices. To find something for Apple devices I just go to iCloud. For Windows Phones, I just go to Windowsphone.com and click on 'Find my Phone'. That takes me to a map. Why doesn't Google have something similar?

Signed into Google/Gmail, it takes me right to my phone's location on the map.

It couldn't be any easier.

There is no direct link like there is for Drive, Play, News, etc... I have to manually type in the address every time I want to use it.

The first time you want to access it, type google.com/keep

Right after you got there, click on the star to add it to your bookmark bar.

Now you don't ever have to type the address anymore.

I know the site and I know there's a map. But, like Keep, it's not integrated into the regular google site.

where is the option to lock the device? I only see option to ring and erase...i got Cerberus for free when it was on appgratis a while back and it has more options, like taking a pic, audio, video, send a message, etc...

My coworker just rang her tablet because her kids are at home. Then my coworker called her kids. They thought they did something to make it ring and my coworker never told them it was her.

For some strange reason it works on my Android phones but not on my wife's and her 2013 Nexus 7 tablet. Any reason why? Her phone is an LG phone for Virgin Mobile, which is 2 years old. But the tablet is brand new and neither can be found even though they show up on her Android Manager account.

This is still rolling out. Whatever I did I couldn't get my HTC One to show up yesterday, while my HP Touchpad with CM9 and my old Dell Streak (which I traded in ~3 months ago) showed up right away.

Just now I checked and my HTC One is suddenly there.

It works perfectly fine with my Optimus G Pro and TF101, but it won't talk to my Note II. Probably because my Google account isn't on that phone anymore.

BTW, there is a very easy way to get to it from Android.com. You just click the 3 dots menu, and there it is: Android Device Manager. It should get a more obvious rename, though.

Yeah, you need to have your google account on it in order for it to work. Otherwise we could just remote wipe old phones not used anymore. Actually, that would be fun.
